The first time I stayed at a bed & breakfast was when my wife and I went on our first anniversary vacation weekend. We knew we wanted to continue away, we just weren’t sure where or anything you wanted to do.

Since then my girlfriend and I also been to two other bed & breakfasts, one in Williamsburg, VA and another in upstate Nyc near Seneca Bay. Although the concept 1 bed & breakfast were similar, they were different in several different ways. For instance in Vermont at breakfast and dinner (both that were included) we sat at our own table in the adjoining restaurant. In NY and VA we ate a significant table with most of the other guests. In VA the owners took care of everything, well them and their youths. In NY and VT the owners ran the place but also had help to get rooms ready and continue the place tidy. In VT we had our own outside entrance to room as should the room was many of our house. In NY and VA that you had your own bedroom in the same house with the additional guests.
Regardless of whichever style you choose, if you never ever stayed at a bed & breakfast you should. Each one was wonderful an individual also really felt like your story were part for the owner’s family as stayed there.
I would recommend first pick a setting where you know you would delight in to stay. Would you like the hills? How about the sun or a tropical island?
